Back to school time should invoke feelings of excitement, happiness, nostalgia for us parents, and yet, sadness because summer is coming to an end. Kids are all getting ready to head back through school doors, while others, like here in Florida, have already begun school again.
Getting the kids back to school should never bring about feelings of inadequacy, sadness, and fear because as a parent you are unable to provide for your child’s needs. And sadly, that’s exactly what happens in many homes across America as the back-to-school season comes about.
As your child lays out their outfit the night before school, has their fresh, new backpack ready to go filled with supplies, and heads to bed for the night, please take a moment to realize just how lucky they are. Not every child has what they need. Maybe you wish there was something you could do to help, much like I did. Well, now there is. And all it takes is the simple click of a mouse.
This year, many children across America are heading back to school without new clothes, and without those basic school supplies they so desperately need to ensure they are getting a great education and are able to learn and complete their school and homework. That’s where The Kids in Need Foundation comes into play.
The Kids In Need Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation based in Dayton, Ohio and Roseville, MN, has been around for over 22 years, and in that time, they’ve helped provide more than $900 million dollars worth of supplies to countless children across America. Last year alone, they provided 5.4 million needy children with back to school supplies. How’s that for incredible?
This year, The Kids In Need Foundation has teamed up with Target to provide a backpack filled with supplies to a child in need for every single share the video found at the link below gets. It’s as simple as that. Simply share this link on all of your social media channels, and provide school supplies to children across America.
