My Baby is One.

A year consists of 365 days, 12 months, 52 weeks, 8765 hours, 525948 minutes and 31556926 seconds. During each of those days, months, weeks, hours, minutes and seconds, I have spent every bit of that time in awe that the most perfect little human known to mankind aside from Jesus (okay, so I’m completely biased) is mine.

Today, my little love, you are 1.

Where has the time gone? Where did all of that time run off to and hide?

Does Being a Mother Become Who You Are?

I have seen quite a few posts online and articles in magazines, as well as overheard many different women, engaging in this topic of discussion. “Just because I’m a mom, doesn’t mean that’s my identity; it’s not who I am. It hasn’t become me. I am still my own person.”

Maybe that might be true for some people, but it’s most certainly not true for me.

Teenagers: Parenting’s Biggest Pain in the Ass

The title pretty much sums it all up, now doesn’t it?

Teenagers are, for lack of a better word, difficult. Some of them are a breeze to parent, while others (and most, if I’m being honest) are insanely difficult to deal with, tolerate, parent, be around, look at, and more. The list goes on. Hey, you all already know that here on my blog, I pretty much tell it like it is – no sugar coating, no fabrication of any sort. So, when I say they’re difficult, that’s putting it nicely. Very nicely.

Truth be told, they’re generally a bunch of pains-in-the-ass(es). But, as their mama, I love my kids to death. I’d do anything for them. Always have, always will.

The Honest Co. – Flash Sale!

header_logo-b59392a1654999a9777ba8ad3d741441

You all know how much I love a good sale – but do you know what I love even more than that? Good-for-you, sustainable, high quality products that actually live up to their hype. I’m talking about The Honest Co., ladies. I know you’ve heard of them!

The mastermind behind the company, Actress Jessica Alba, put this company together with the vision of changing the lives of families across America – and truly, she has done just that in my opinion. She’s changed the way we diaper our babies, by providing adorable prints for both boys and girls, and created the diapers to be plant-based and chemical free – leaving your baby with healthy, rash-free skin. She’s changed the way moms clean their homes by providing us with safe, non-toxic, plant powered products that are safe to use around your baby and in your kitchen. She’s changed bath time, and so much more. Kudos to you, Jessica!

I have been a firm believer in The Honest Co.’s products for about 3 years now, and I haven’t turned back. I’ve used their Belly Balm – which is all organic – during my pregnancy with Richi and I literally only gained 1 stretch mark during my pregnancy with him! I have used their bath bars, natural cleaning products, and diapers, wipes, and organic healing balm, as well as their diaper rash cream – and let me just say, not a single one of their products has ever let me down!

Sincere Elephant – A Review

2015_sincereelephant_logo

Good Afternoon, ladies! I hope you are all doing well, and are having a stress-free, peaceful afternoon full of smiles and coffee!

Today I am bringing you a review from one of the cutest little shops I have seen yet. This review is to be based on Sincere Elephant, a brand I was introduced to by one of my close friends and fellow mom blogger, Taye’K, who’s son had been wearing one of the brand’s products in a picture she sent me. I instantly fell in love with the products this store has to offer! Such a beautiful array of bandana bibs, 3-in-1 covers for strollers, nursing, and carseats, as well as children and baby clothing.

Weekly Update and What to Expect This and Next Week

Good Evening, my friends!

I wanted to stop by and say hello and give you all a quick update on what you can expect in the next week, and also, sort of give a brief synopsis of my current/past week.

This past week has been really stressful, as I reported in my last entry. Without going into too much detail, on the one hand, I have some major life things going on with my 17 year old, I have some major life things going on with my 13 year old, I had some exceptionally scary news from my gynecologist, I also got bad news from my primary care doctor, and I have had a migraine for a week. Aside from that, things haven’t been too incredibly bad…but I am ready for the stressful stuff to finally be over.
